An outdoor fireplace is a place for burning fires outside of the home. Outdoor fireplaces are similar in construction of  an indoor fireplace, but usually added to a stone, brick, or concrete patio often consisting of a firebox and chimney. The purpose of most outdoor fireplaces is to burn wood, but burning wood in some cities is restricted or banned outdoors so gas is another alternative. Outdoor fireplaces are also simply used as decorative elements for homeowners who enjoy a crackling fire while entertaining in a back yard. Outdoor Fireplace Pictures
